Arrow Search Items on Sale

Search Items on Sale

Hello,

Is it possible to set up a search form in the section items on sale and get results just from that section?

http://www.thepaintballstore.net/special-offers

Now I set up a search form but the results are globals from all the store.

Thanks for your support

Mauricio

Hi,

You could add a text module to your Items on Sale view and then add the following code to that text module:

HTML Code:
<div class="sale_search_form">
  <form action="special-offers" method="get">
  [search.word value='']
  [search.submit title='Go']
  </form>
</div>
That should work...

Hi,

Actually, I forget, this is more complicated than I first thought. Here's what you'll need to do...

1. Go here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CUSTOM VIEWS > Sale Items > Product list module > Settings ()

2. Under "Product selection" check "Use request url".

3. Under "Sorting and paging" check "Allow override".

4. Click the [Save changes] button.

5. Change the code I gave you above (post #2) to this:
HTML Code:
<div class="sale_search_form">
  <form method="get">
  [search.word value='']
  [search.submit title='Go']
  <input type="hidden" name="saleprice" value="1-" />
  </form>
</div>
6. Click the [Save changes] button.

7. Click the [Update Settings Only] button on your site.

8. The last thing is to change the "Special Offers" link in your menu. Currently it links to:

http://www.thepaintballstore.net/special-offers

You should change the URL to:

http://www.thepaintballstore.net/spe...s?saleprice=1-

That should do it...
