Hi,

If you don't want products in sub-categories to appear in the parent category, you need to go here The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CATEGORY PAGE > Default > View menu > View Properties and check the Do not display sub-category products box.

Hi,

It's impossible for me to say what's going on without knowing at least one product and what category it's not supposed to be in.

hi eric i found out that wordpress dose not allow two sub categories of the same name
i.e.
CAT-A
cable
CAT-B
cable

is they anyway of creating a hidden category ID tag and attaching it to the category so it show as above but its actually i.e.

CAT-A
id_1_cable
CAT-B
id_2_cable

if you know what mean

The reason why i'm having this problem is because of the theme i'm using, but if i could create hidden category id's in datafeedr factory i think this would resolve the problem

thanks

Hi Bhav,

I see you are using ShopperPress for your store's display. SP overrides all Datafeedr display functionality as well as the URL rewriting.

It depends on how SP imports Datafeedr data. You can modify your category slugs for each category to make them unique. Just go to Category Properties and change the slug name to be unique (ie. change cable to id_1_cable).

But you need to make sure SP will import your unique slug names, not just generate them based on the category name.
