Default Limited numbers of products

Eric

Any idea why this is showing 'Found 19,969 products | 712 duplicate products excluded | Showing 1288 most relevant results' am searching by product tag so all the products will be pretty much the same. I understand I can have 5,000 products a category but I seem to not be able to select some 18,000 items. How is this relevant limit decided and what can one do about it in order to pull more products. In some sections it is returning 6,000 products but the relevant results is showing me only about 600.

I have no limit set on my search filter.

Thanks

Hi,

We increased the number of products returned in a search to 5,000.

Currently, we just show what our search engine considers the most relevant using the default ranker (see http://sphinxsearch.com/docs/current.html#weighting). Obviously, when a search has only one word, the order is more or less random.

Eric
