Default posting duplicates and not posting categories

Store ID: 40261
Website URL: http://www.daytona5000.com/
URL to page in question:

i set up my store yesterday. in the categories section, i set up mens as the parent and 5 sub-categories. for example, under t-shirts (mens t-shirts), was the keyword and Exclude duplicates was checked. the products on the datafeedr side are correct, but when posted to my site, it posts 5-6 duplicates of each item; http://www.daytona5000.com/store/cat...mens-t-shirts/ - they also dont not contain the buy button, just the details button.

In addition, when the entire store was imported, and the datafeedr widget is used on the sidebar, the categories are not appearing, just the parent category (mens) appears even though i have show all checked ...

i appreciate your help.

Hi,

Welcome to the forums!

It seems the duplicate products were added manually to your category by clicking the 'add to category' link.

Removing those images from that list will remove the duplicate products.

If you want your Category list in your sidebar widget to show all categories by default, do this:

1. Go here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > WIDGETS > Categories > Category list module.

2. Click the Theme settings icon ( )

3. Remove all of the code that is currently there and replace it with code from the snippet "Template 2":

HTML Code:
[category.list before='<ul>' after='</ul>']
<li>
  <a href="[category.link]" title="[category.name]">[category.name]</a>
  [category.repeat]
</li>
[/category.list]
4. Save and then click the [Update Products and Settings] button on your site.

Eric

It looks like you removed the "Buy" button from your views.

To add it again, go here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CATEGORY PAGE > Default > Product list module > Theme settings ( ) and add the following code after the code for your details button:

HTML Code:
<a href="[product.url direct='0']" title="Buy [product.name]" class="dfbutton dforange dfmedium" rel="nofollow">Buy</a>
