Hi

Yes, if you click the "more info" for a link, you can edit the brand name.

Thank you Erick

If I have no other choice I will do it manually by clicking MORE INFO but is there any chance I could do once per brand?
See we have 3000 handbags, lets say DOLCE&GABBANA has got 100 products. Can I change it once somewhere? Or do I have to go through 100 products?

Sorry to bother you but I would rather know now before I get into hours of boring work

Cheers

Hi

You will have to change it everywhere but I wouldn't advise. Why do you want to change it and I might be able to suggest an alternative?

It's all about the looks Eric, I would like to have all products consistent and some brands appear in small letter some in capital letters etc. It doesn't look nice.
If nothing can be done, I will do it manually

Thank you very much for your help

Hi

I would suggest mapping all brand names to the name you want.

For example, I would add this to your theme's functions.php file:
PHP Code:
function dfr_map_brand_names($name) {

    if (
$name == 'DOLCE&GABBANA') {

$name 'Dolce & Gabbana';
    }

    if (
$name == 'DOLCE AND GABBANA') {

$name 'Dolce & Gabbana';
    }

    if (
$name == 'DOLCE and GABBANA') {

$name 'Dolce & Gabbana';
    }

// add more conditional statements here...

return $name;

Basically, that changes all versions of Dolce AND Gabanna (no matter how it is spelled) to Dolce & Gabbana.

You can add many if() statements to change any brand names.

Then in your views to display the brand name, use this:
PHP Code:
<?php echo dfr_map_brand_names($product->brand); ?>
Now you can change all the different spellings in 1 place.
