Question Custom CSS Help

Store ID: 38825
Website URL:
URL to page in question: http://hspire.com/shop/modern-sofas/

Hi: I am not an IT person and just know very basic html. Currently the sub-category text (just beneath the breadcrumbs are using my themes CSS style. I would like to change this. I think I add it to the stores CSS field???

I would like the sub-categories text to display on the pages using this custom color: 8E0B4C and somehow add a little heart in front of each of the sub-category text (kind of like a bullet list but instead of a bullet use the heart image). I created an image for the heart at: http://hspire.com/wp-content/uploads...-furniture.png

If you could please tell me the exact code and where I enter it so that all functionality stays in tack I would really be grateful.

Hi

You could replace this:
HTML Code:
<!-- Category List -->
[category.list id='dfcatcol1' before='<div class="cl">' after='</div>']
  <div class="cell col4">
    <div class="bdr">
      <a href="[category.link]" title="[category.name]">[category.name]</a>
      <?php /* REMOVE THIS LINE TO ENABLE CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS
      <br />
      <div class="catdesc">[category.description]</div>
      REMOVE THIS LINE TO ENABLE CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS */ ?>
      [category.list id='dfcatcol2' before='<ul>' after='</ul>']
        <li>
          <a href="[category.link]" title="[category.name]">[category.name]</a>
          [category.repeat id='dfcatcol2']
        </li>
      [/category.list]
    </div>
  </div>
[/category.list]
<!-- /Category List -->
With this:
HTML Code:
<!-- Category List -->
[category.list id='dfcatcol1' before='<div class="cl">' after='</div>']
  <div class="cell col4">
    <div class="bdr">
      <a href="[category.link]" title="[category.name]">[category.name]</a>
      <?php /* REMOVE THIS LINE TO ENABLE CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS
      <br />
      <div class="catdesc">[category.description]</div>
      REMOVE THIS LINE TO ENABLE CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS */ ?>
      [category.list id='dfcatcol2' before='<ul>' after='</ul>']
        <li>
          <a href="[category.link]" title="[category.name]" style="color: #8E0B4C; text-decoration: none;">
          	<img src="http://hspire.com/wp-content/uploads/Hspire-loves-modern-furniture.png" align="left" valign="middle" />[category.name]
          </a>
          [category.repeat id='dfcatcol2']
        </li>
      [/category.list]
    </div>
  </div>
[/category.list]
<!-- /Category List -->

Cool Reply

Thank you for the help. However, I did change the code to the suggested code but the sub-categories list appearance is still the same as before? Ideas? Thanks again!

Hi

Try this code instead:
HTML Code:
<!-- Category List -->
[category.list id='dfcatcol1' before='<div class="cl">' after='</div>']
  <div class="cell col4">
    <div class="bdr">
      <a href="[category.link]" title="[category.name]" style="color: #8E0B4C; text-decoration: none;"><img src="http://hspire.com/wp-content/uploads/Hspire-loves-modern-furniture.png" align="left" valign="middle" />[category.name]</a>
      <?php /* REMOVE THIS LINE TO ENABLE CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS
      <br />
      <div class="catdesc">[category.description]</div>
      REMOVE THIS LINE TO ENABLE CATEGORY DESCRIPTIONS */ ?>
      [category.list id='dfcatcol2' before='<ul>' after='</ul>']
        <li>
          <a href="[category.link]" title="[category.name]" style="color: #8E0B4C; text-decoration: none;">
            <img src="http://hspire.com/wp-content/uploads/Hspire-loves-modern-furniture.png" align="left" valign="middle" />[category.name]
          </a>
          [category.repeat id='dfcatcol2']
        </li>
      [/category.list]
    </div>
  </div>
[/category.list]
<!-- /Category List -->
