Default Put boxes around category names/images

Thanks Eric.

I have inserted the code above into my custom CSS as follows

/**
* Fix conflict with TwentyTen WP theme
*/
#view .sp h2 {clear:none;}
#view .pl h2 {clear:none;}
#view .col1 .pl h2,
#view .col1 .pl h2 a {font-size:22px}

#view .pl .t2 .bdr .td {border: 0;}
#view .cl .cell .bdr {border-size: 1px; }

However there are still no borders showing round the categories on my home page. www.redhotyogastyle.com

Also I am wanting to resize the text on the category titles so it is the same as the text size in the product listing. I presume this is also custom css?

regards A

Hi

Sorry, not border-size. It should be:
Code:
#view .cl .cell .bdr {border-width: 1px; }
The category titles are also controlled by CSS. Add the following to your Custom CSS and adjust accordingly:

Code:
#view .cl .cell .bdr a { font-size: 22px; }

HI Eric

This has now worked and I even figured out how to make my title bold.

However I have a few more things I am trying to do and have tried a variety of options referring to the default CSS but none seem to be working.

Here is the code I am using for the border. I would like to make it red instead of grey as it has come up. This code isn't working.
#view .cl .cell .bdr {border-width: 2px; border-color:#b41423 solid;}

Within each border I want to ensure that the text only aligns to the right also as some of the text is trailing over under the picture. I presume that will be something like {text; align-right} but that doesn't seem to work either.

And finally I want to ensure that each of the boxes is the same height and width so they are symmetrical on the page.

If you could provide code I would be grateful and if there is a place on the site where I can refer to for CSS code I would be grateful.

Thanks for your patience.

regards

A

This should work:

Code:
#view .cl .cell .bdr {
	border: 2px solid #B41423;
	height: 160px;
	text-align: right;
}
Remove this line of code: #view .cl .cell .bdr {border-width: 1px; }

I am totally confused. I did as directed above once and it worked.

I then removed css once to check that I was happy with result and now can't get it back to how it was.

My code is as follows:

/**
* Fix conflict with TwentyTen WP theme
*/
#view .sp h2 {clear:none;}
#view .pl h2 {clear:none;}
#view .col1 .pl h2,
#view .col1 .pl h2 a {font-size:22px}

#view .pl .t2 .bdr .td {border: 0;}
#view .cl .cell .bdr {border-width: 2px solid #B41423;
height: 160px;
text-align: right;
}
#view .cl .cell .bdr a {font-size: 22px} {font:bold}

Please help.

regards

Thanks it somehow worked when I tried it for the tenth time.

I am now trying to change the product listings borders to red with the code
#view .pl .t1 .col2.bdr {
**border: 2px solid #B41423;
}
It isn't working so would be glad if you could point me in the right direction and then you will be pleased to know I am done with my layout ( well other than I will want to do the same thing to the related products boxes
Thanks A

Your code is wrong. There should be a space between .col2 AND .bdr.

HI Eric

I tried this but still no joy.

/**
* Fix conflict with TwentyTen WP theme
*/
#view .sp h2 {clear:none;}
#view .pl h2 {clear:none;}
#view .col1 .pl h2,
#view .col1 .pl h2 a {font-size:22px}

#view .pl .t2 .bdr .td {border: 0;}
#view .cl .cell .bdr a { font-size: 22px; }

#view .cl .cell .bdr {
border: 2px solid #B41423;
height: 160px;
Width: 220 px;
text-align: left;
}
#view .pl .t1 .col2 .bdr {border: 2px solid #B41423;
}
still grey boxes round my products...

Hi

I think you need this:
Code:
#view .pl .t1 .bdr {
	border: 2px #B41423 solid;
}
I've posted a video tutorial on how to quickly and easily make changes to your site without doing anything in the Factory to test if a change is going to work or not.

OMG Eric this is awesome.

A - the code worked and
B - you now have given me the tool to figure the css out logically.

This add on is amazing.

Thanks a million

Hi,

Using this as your Custom CSS should work:
Code:
#view .col2 .bdr a img {
border: 1px solid blue;
}

No, just add it to the bottom of your Custom CSS area.
