Default Is there an easy way to check that Affiliate Window links are working correctly?

Store ID: 37314
Website URL: justloungefurniture.co.uk
URL to page in question:

Is there an easy way to check that Affiliate Window links are working correctly and logging sales - I am concerned as i have seen no reference to their SOAP handling routines or passwords in the datafeed set up procedures.

Does this datafeed still require Affiliate Window to release my account with them to "open" mode to allow the handling of more than 2500 requests per day

Thanks./imag...es/biggrin.gif

Hi

Welcome to the forums!

Your post has been moved to a new thread. Please see the posting rules regarding posting multiple issues in one thread.

You are not making any requests to their server so I don't think there is any need to put your account in "open" mode.

If you have entered an incorrect Affiliate Window affiliate ID, all links to the merchant will be redirected back to your site. Affiliate Window links do not work at all if they are configured incorrectly or have the wrong/invalid/unapproved affiliate ID inserted into the link.

Default Inormation flow between AW Datafeedr and advertiser

Store ID: 37314
Website URL: justloungefurniture.co.uk
URL to page in question:

Whilst there is no demand on AW servers to provide "the shop" and let our custmers select goods (this being provided by Datafeeds servers) is there not a demand arising from the collection of sales information to pay out commissions - or does that demand arise from the merchants account with AW. Presumably a similar logic and dataflow would apply to all merchants and AW type sites.

Hi

I'm not sure I understand your question. Can you clarify?

Thanks,
Eric

I am trying to understand how the information about sales gets into the Affiliate Windows servers for them to pay the commissions on sales. I assume there are feeds from the merchants into Affiliate Window and these feeds put information onto their servers about products and also carry details of the sales that have been made by us affiliates. If this is the case then i fully understand why my site will not put a load onto their servers and why the SOAP and passwords are not required. A big benefit and well wotrth the $27 a month fee!

Is my assumption brodly correct please?

Hi

The information about sales gets into the affiliate network (ie. Affiliate Window) via some script on the merchant's side that notifies AW of a new sale.

There is no need for SOAP and passwords. You simply add your AW affiliate ID to the Factory and all links to AW merchants will contain your ID and when a sale occurs that you referred, it will be recorded at AW and AW will pay you.
