Adding Sort options to category page and Changing permalink settings

Hi,

I was trying to add sort option to the category page and also changed my permalink to make it more SEO friendly. Followed the videos and forum discussions related to the topic . But unfortunately it doesn't work for me eventhough the sort option gets displayed on the page. followed steps as below.

Under Views >Category page> product list module > edit module settings >check
allow override

Under Views >Category page> product list module > edit module template > product tags
>added sorting template

Changed the permalink settings on site to /%postname%/

Updated the Datafeedr Update Settings which was successful.


In the store i clicked on http://thinkingtallshoes.com/?q=store/category/men/

select page 2 (page no 2 from list of pages) it doesnt do anything.
selected sort high to low and clicked on Go but it goes to the home page.
Also see that the permalinks hasnt changed as well.

Could you pls help me with solve these issues. I would really like to add the sort option to the page and also change my permalink settings so it is more SEO friendly.

Thanks a lot Eric. Even though i changed the permalinks i forgot to take the old url out from my menu item which is a custom link. It works now now based on the new url structure.
