Default Product Thumbnail Questions

first question. how not allow products that have an error displaying the image?

second question. there is a lot of time that a thumbnail looks distorted when i apply a height and width to the thumbnail. Also google speed gives me error messages that I need to serve scaled images. My question is this?

How do I serve scaled thumbnail images? Also is it possible to create the thumbnails using standard wordpress image sizes that are defined in a blog?

look at http://autotulsablog.com/2011/09/05/...-audio-system/ and you will see what I'm talking about.

Hi

1. This is not possible because the merchant has supplied an image but the URL is broken.

2. Of course! Applying width/height attributes to an image can distort your image if not properly set up.

3. If you are dealing with an image that is 75px by 75px, you can scale it up using the width or height attributes but if you scale it larger than its current dimensions, it will always appear distorted. There's no getting around that.

4. I'm not aware of that.

If you set width AND height attributes, you must set them exactly or else your image will be distorted. It's best to set one or the other and then your image will scale up or down but keep the proper aspect ratio.

If you use width or height and the value you specify is larger than the image itself, it will stretch your image causing distortion.
