Default Image too large in datafeed - very slow download of pages

I don't know how to find the Store ID:
http://www.edusciencedeals.com rul in question - home page

downloading extremely slow. I did an analysis on it and it is 84% slower than other sites. The reason is that the images are huge, especially the image of the sinks. They are 900x900. Whoever is responsible for programming the size of the image needs to make them much smaller.

Please help, Thanks, Madeline

Hi

The images are provided by the merchant, not by us. If they are huge, you should request that the merchant provide smaller images.

That being said, if you aren't already, you should take advantage of the storing images locally as outlined here: /showthread.php?t=5770

Also caching store pages (outlined in the same link) could also help.

That should greatly reduce load time.
