Default Ann Summers Affiliate - All Images are gone..

Hi,
I have noticed today that all images from my Ann Summers Affiliate have disappeared from my site. When clicking on the buy link, it takes 1-2 minutes for the link to ann-summers.com to resolve and open. Also, when trying to open the images on my site, I get to a 404 page on ann-summers.com. Also checked the feed on datafeedr and the images are gain broken. Finally, the affiliate to ann-summers is via tradedoubler.

Please let me know what is going on here..

It's an issue on merchant's end.

All Ann Summers image URLs in both the Affiliate Window and TradeDoubler datafeed are currently redirecting to 404 pages.

Maybe you should remove Ann Summers from the system as it looks like they simply dont care about this issue. It has been 3 days now and the problem still persists and makes my site look like garbage with 1000 of broken images. Way to go from Ann Summers....

This is what I got as reply on my email to the Ann Summers contact specified in Affiliate Window.

Subject: RE: Product Images Ann Summers datafeed down

Hi Stefan,

Many thanks for letting me know.

I have been assured that Ann Summers are working on this as a matter of urgency. I hope it will be back in full working order shortly.

Many thanks, Chloe

This is what I got as reply on my support ticket in Affiliate Window. I'll follow this up.

Hi Stefan,

Hope you are well.

We are aware of this issue and currently working on it. It should be resolved within 2 days. Please try the feed after 2 days and let me know how it goes.

Thank you.

Kind Regards, Biraj

Well at least they removed the 404 page and had the decency to acknowledge the error. Feed still down though and site still broken
Thanks for getting involved stefan..

So much for them fixing this in a couple of days. It has been this way for a week now and yet no changes. Do you have any update on this issue? Or should I just ditch the affiliate and let others know about its TOTAL FAILURE too?

Reason I am upset ofcourse is that their stupid mistake has caused my site to look broken. The problem is not just aesthetically, but also Google is seeing my "broken" site for a week now and I am pretty sure it will get penalized for all this Broken images. Not to mention I cant take down the links because I have tons of traffic coming in from Google for these keywords, so that would not go well too!

Ann Summers - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

This is what I got so far...

Hi Stefan,

Apologies that this is still not fixed. Ann Summers are still working on the feed to source the issue and I am told that they are working on this as a matter of urgency.

I shall let you know as soon as I hear more.

Cheers, Chloe

Still no solution but if you want a workaround it's best to switch from TradeDoubler to Affiliate Window.

In Affiliate Window there are product images AND thumbnail images.

The product images still lead to a 404 page but the thumbnail images are working.

You can see that if you look up a product via http://factory3.datafeedr.com/feeder/search_all

That is because the thumbnail images seem to be pulled from another webserver.

If you want to follow this workaround you should

- apply to Ann Summers in Affiliate Window

- once approved add the merchant to your store

- eventually change your search subscriptions if you used the merchant filter

- replace [product.image] with [product.thumbnail] in your views

- update your store
