Default Comparison Set Layout Question

Hi Eric,

Is it possible to somehow re-format a comparison set and create a fourth column where I can enter information for each merchant (shipping information, coupon codes, etc.)?

Below is a link to a a current product description page with a comparison set. I'd like to move the price and buy buttons over to the left and add a fourth column to enter the aforementioned information.

Thanks,

Curt

Hi

Sure, just add another table column (ie. <td>...</td>) tag.

Thanks Eric

How would I populate this field with information for a specific merchant that's not in the datafeed they provide to datafeedr? For example, if one of my merchant's Bodybuilding.com provides free shipping for new customers can I make it show up in a comparison set when their prices appear?

Thanks,

Curt

Hi

You should use one of the Product Tag snippets to insert that type of information. There are many product tags.

Here's a list of all of the product tags available: http://www.datafeedr.com/docs/item/168

Note that the merchant must add that information to their feed in order for that information to appear on your site.

Hi Eric,

I checked the snippets and didn't find one to fit my needs. What I'd like to do is be able to add custom text in a fourth column for each merchant (i.e. if one offers free shipping for orders over $99 say so). I believe this will incentivize people to click the buy now button.

Is there a way to add this information? Can I edit the feeds myself if necessary or add some type of custom code/snippet?

Thanks,

Curt

Hi

Yes, you can add that information yourself in the Factory.

Here's how to edit product information: http://www.datafeedr.com/videos?vide...rc=yt#videotop

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the video link. I use the product info to change the descriptions and titles for the products that I add.

What I want to do is add information to the right of the Buy button in the Comparison Sets which appear on my product detail pages. I'd like to add information for each merchant, not product such as if they offer free shipping, a coupon code, etc. Is this in any way possible?

Hi

Adding merchant information is not possible... at least not without writing some advanced PHP to handle what gets displayed based on a merchant's ID.
