Default Product List Not Displaying as expected

Hi Eric,
Ive set up a custom view named "embed Product Set"

Although Ive selected the 4 in a row template.

It displays with big pictures.

http://toptoysforeveryone.com/action-toys/

Any idea why?

Thanks
Dave

Hi

Try adding the word view to the custom view's properties field: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CUSTOM VIEWS > embed Product Set > View menu > View Properties > CSS ID field

Great works a treat.

To tweak it how do I make the image a bit bigger?

10 products is the default number of products per page returned when the Products per page field is not defined.

You can define the Products Per Page here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CUSTOM VIEWS > embed Product Set > Product list module > Settings icon ( ). There you can find the Products per page field.

Just a thought Eric, is it possible to display the text, above the image, the button below the image and have 5 in a row?

Hi

Yes, it's possible to move the text above the image. Just change the order of how they appear in the Product list template. You might switch to Template 1 as it's more suited to stacked product information instead of product information being displayed in left and right columns.

Yes, you can have 5 in a row. Just change the product list class from col4 to col5 which I cover here: http://www.datafeedr.com/videos/?vid...rc=yt#videotop

I've covered image sizes in product list modules in the following threads:
/show...ght=image+size
/show...9401#post19401

Basically, it just comes down to modifying your CSS.

But, it seems you don't have much room to work with:

If you want to stick to 4 columns or increase to 5 columns, you don't have much room to "grow". That image was taken just using Firebug, a quick and easy way to modify your CSS without actually making any changes to your site.

Hi Eric,
Although I think I get how to increase theimages in the 4 columns, ive added css code for this.

How do i make this happen to my custom view, "embed product Set"

So the images on pages like this are bigger:

Hi

You should remove the following selected code from your CSS file:

Hi

The problem was the code you pasted in. You have a comment in your CSS but it's not formatted properly therefore all of the code which appears below gets ignored.

I removed the bad code from the CSS and now it's fine. Update your settings.

Eric
