Default How To Include A Custom Sales View In Posts

I'd like to know how to include a custom sales view, using the DFR short code in my posts where I can show one category from my store? I'd like to make sure the items displayed in my posts will be updated automatically if they go on sale. Thank you.

Hi

You already have a Sale Items view in the Custom Views section in the Factory. I would copy those settings to a new view and modify the query string so that it includes the category you want to pull from. More on that here.

So your new custom view's custom query string will look something like this: c=425235&saleprice=1-

Then embed the view using a short code. I've explained how to do that here:

Hi Eric,

If the product is not on sale, how do I display the current pricing using a query string?

Thank you,
Erin

Hi

Well, by default the query string will pull in all products. So doing c=425235 would give you all products from category 425235 either on sale or not on sale.
