![]() Hi Eric,
OK I initially had two pages content loading from datafeedr itself, on the store default pages. But then i realised it doesnt pass any titles and descriptions for search engines. So i transferred teh pages over to: fancy-dressoutfits.com/us/costumes fancy-dressoutfits.com/uk-shop However, this seems to have thrown out the pages for the categories i.e http://fancy-dressoutfits.com/us/sto...gory/superman/ http://fancy-dressoutfits.com/uk/store/category/batman/ ( for example) The url settings look correct to me, but obviously something is wrong. What am I doing wrong? Thanks DAve |

Also, did you make any changes to the URL Settings in either of your stores within the Factory? If so, what did you change? Eric

![]() Hi Eric,
the mistake I made was that I set up all my content on the "store " default, instead of putting it straight on the wordpress. So i took that content and have now put it on the correct pages. No I dont think the urkl settinsg are different, but by setting up the pages teh way I have i.e. fancy-dressoutfits.com/us/costumes fancy-dressoutfits.com/uk-shop it seems to have had a knock on effect to the category listings. The paths look correct in the url settings but i just get : Oops, That wasn't found Sorry, no posts matched your criteria. Perhaps you can find what you're looking for below. Recent Blog Posts So ive done something to upset it, I just cant figure out what though. I apologise for messing it up what you set up, but i did need to take off the content I put on the stores front page on datafeedr, it doesn't pass title, descriptions properly by doing it that way does it. |

![]() basically the content what you see on
fancy-dressoutfits.com/us/costumes fancy-dressoutfits.com/uk-shop is what i had on the Store Front Page Default whcih i uploaded from datafeedr from the text module. |

![]() Hi
Can you tell me exactly what you do want? I mean, tell me exactly what the URL structure should be for each site. That means, what should the URL be for your website's: store front page category pages product detail pages Please provide an example for both the US and UK site. I'm really confused as to what you are trying to accomplish but if you can tell me exactly what you want, I can tell you how to fix it. Eric

![]() Hi Eric,
sorry i should have explained, I have 2 wp installations under the 1 domain : fancy-dressoutfits.com I have 2 installations as I need a datafeed for the UK costumes suppliers and one for the US suppliers. All my content pages are now in place correctly i.e. wordpress pages and posts. on the uk side say I click on the "freddy Krueger" link in the left handside column, it should display under the url: http://fancy-dressoutfits.com/uk/sto...reddy-krueger/ Also if I click on "freddy Krueger" link on the US store, it should display under the url: http://fancy-dressoutfits.com/us/sto...reddy-krueger/ which it does not on both. This worked fine the last time you kindly set it up for me. However, since I started playing around with the uk and us pages and posts on wordpress i.e. fancy-dressoutfits.com/us/costumes fancy-dressoutfits.com/uk-shop the categories are now not loading correctly. To my knowledge the url settings do resemble the paths i need them to be, but its not working, and I cant figure out why. Hopefully thats cleared up what im trying to achieve Thanks Dave |

![]() Hi
I understand what you are trying to do but I still need to know all of the URL paths you intend to have. Currently, I can only guess as to what you want where. I need to know where you want the following things to appear: UK Store
US Store
Please fill that information in and then I think I will be able to advise you on what to do. Eric

![]() HI thanks,
Right on the UK side: http://fancy-dressoutfits.com - is the whole sites homepage. http://fancy-dressoutfits.com/uk-shop - is the UK homepage http://fancy-dressoutfits.com/uk/sto...y/product-name - category page On the US Side: http://fancy-dressoutfits.com/us/costumes/ - is the US Homepage http://fancy-dressoutfits.com/us/sto.../product-name/ - category page See now heres where I get confused. because im not having a store front page as such. All Im doing is displaying the categories in the side menu, and listing prices under the category sections. From there they will either click buy, or details, details will take them to the details page. So im a bit confused as to what to set the store front page at, seeing as I dont really have one. my store front pages currently just have content in their ive created in wordpress. If I choose those paths for the store then wont datafeedr overwrite those pages? |

![]() Quote:
It's up to you. If not, what do you want your stores' front pages to display? Personally, I would just grab the HTML from the 2 pages you have set up and paste those into 1 text module in your stores' front page views. Let me know what you want to do.

![]() Actually thats what i initially did mate, but then I started to see descriptions and titles werent getting shown on google. SO i thought I had to transfer it over to wordpress and optimise it that way.
Anyhow, Ill keep all my content on wordpress, its all there now anyway. Just a thought do I actually need ot have a store front page? I mean if you see how my sites set up I dont need neet it really do i? I only need the category pages dont i? |

![]() See ny thinking is try and use datafeedr but keep it in the back end as much as possible so the front end is full of fresh new content

![]() I don't think the titles and descriptions not appearing in Google was an issue with how your pages were set up. It was probably another issue that we can address after this is all fixed.
No, you don't need a store front page but you will need to remove the breadcrumb from your pages so there is no link to the page in any of your navigation. But your front page as it is now doesn't have any fresh content. It just has a list of category links and some text. Nothing about it is dynamic.

![]() Are you referring to these pages:
http://fancy-dressoutfits.com/uk-shop http://fancy-dressoutfits.com/us/costumes/ if so then yes they need more content, which im still working on. dynamic content is great from datafeedr, but theres nothing new about it, and i try and stay away from duplicate content. Thats not a problem the breadcrumb can be removed if need be. |

![]() OK, I think I understand everything you want.
Regarding your UK store, did you delete or more to trash the "Store" page? If so, you need to recover it from the Trash or recreate it and it MUST have the slug "store". Can you check that? Eric

![]() I think this is where the problem comes in, could it be a conflict with the url settings on datafeedr?

|

![]() You should change your "Front page URL" in your URL Settings to "store".
