Default Custom views and max number of products

Can you tell me, how to use this, when I create a custom view?

With custom views the max number of products shown are 50, no matter what number you write in the "Products per page" field.

I asked in regards to Stefan's reply in another thread.

Therefore put some large value in the "Products per page" field (like 999) if you want to show all products from a category.

NOTE that loading a large number of products on one or more pages may lead to slow loading pages.
But this problem was also caused by another plugin (cloakpig).
It's solved now, like my other issue with the DFR problems.
Thanks anyway Eric!
