Default Modify Embedded Post View Code

Hi,
I have been reading and tweaking my code for almost 2 hours and I am needing assistance on modifying code for the view that is used to embed the product into the post. I am a novice with code and am afraid I hacked it to death already.

I have followed the instructions in the documentation for creating the custom view and pasting the code into the view and checking the box for not using the layout. I have tried editing the custom css but not correctly I see.

If there is any way you could please guide me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to embed into my posts with a "embedded product" custom view:
  • 350 width product image - centered with no border
  • a button centered directly under it
  • both the image and button links open in new window with "no-follow" on them

that's it...no price, description,etc.

Thanks so much - I really appreciate it!
Rachael

Here is the code I currently have in my "embedded product" view:
Code:
<div class="sp">
  <div class="lc">
    <div class="thmb">
      <a href="[product.url direct='0']" title="[product.name]" target="_blank">
        <img src="[product.image]" width="350"/>
      </a>
    </div>
  </div>
  <div class="rc">
       <div class="btns">
      <a href="[product.url]" class="dfbutton dfwhite dflarge dfrounded">Learn More</a>
    </div>
  </div>
  <div class="clearingdiv"> </div>
</div>

Can you take a look at your post and tell me if it's what you're looking for?

I've started from the instructions here

http://www.datafeedr.com/docs/item/184

and changed it slightly to fit your needs

Code:
<div class="embedded ctr">
<div class="t1">
<div class="bdr">

<div class="thmb">
<a href="[product.url]" title="[product.name]" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> <img src="[product.image]" class="thmb1" alt="[product.name]" /> </a>
</div>

<div class="btns">
<a href="[product.url]" title="View details [product.name]" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="dfbutton dfwhite dflarge dfrounded">Learn More</a>
</div>
<div class="clearingdiv">
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="clearingdiv">
</div>
</div>
I also added the following custom css to your Store > Custom CSS file

Code:
.ctr {display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;}

.embedded .t1 .bdr { border: 0px #B3B3B3 solid; margin: 0 5px 10px 5px; padding: 2px; height: 100%; }

.thmb1 { width: expression(this.height < this.width && this.width > 350 ? '350px' :true); height: expression(this.height > this.width && this.height > 350 ? '350px' :true); max-width: 350px; max-height: 350px; }

Hi Stefan,

Sorry for the late reply...I just got back from out of state trip.

This is absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for your help. I wasn't sure how to edit the code to make it work but this is wonderful. I appreciate your assistance.

Have a great day and thanks again!
Rachael
