Default modifying the module column width

Hi, I thought this would be an easy customization, but I can't seem to figure it out. I'm trying to modify the width of the product list module so it spans about 2/3rds of the wordpress page, rather than 50 percent or 100 percent. I'd like my category pages to resemble your demo page here: http://bestcontactlensprices.com/category/acuvue/

I'd like my product list column to take up about 2/3 or 3/4 of the space, with the categories listed on the right as you have them. How can I do this?

here's one of my pages, where the product list takes up just half of the screen - it seems to be either 50 percent or 100 percent: http://www.geojunk.com/geography-store/category/maps/

thanks!

This URL is a 404. Can you provide another link to the example page?

Hi, sorry, here's an example page:http://www.geojunk.com/store/category/antique-maps/

I'd like the column on the left with the product list to take up most of the page -- maybe 70 percent or so. I can't seem to alter the column width in the factory.

Changing the column width is not possible. But it seems you just want the search box and category links to appear on the right... Why not just add those sections as widgets? It seems your theme supports many different layouts (1 column, 2 columns, 3 columns, etc...) You could just enable a 3rd column on your Store page and add the search and category widgets to the sidebar for those pages.

So, wait.. why can't I increase the width of the product category column? The problem with using a third column is that that widget with the store search and categories would show up on every page -- including the homepage where I don't want it. I really wish I could customize the width of the module column.

You could use a plugin like Widget Context (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-context/) to control which pages display which widgets. It allows you to take full control over when your widgets appear and do not appear.
