Default putting a searchbar in right of header

Hi how can I customise the look and feel of the search bar?

And what is the code I need to paste into the header to get the store search to appear there?

You can paste the search bar anywhere in your theme's php files by using this:

<?php echo datafeedr_tag("widget/simple-search"); ?>

You can use CSS to style the form and button.

The best place would be to add your CSS here: The Factory > Your Store > Store menu > Custom CSS.

If my header is one big image, will this still work? In other words, will the search box superimpose itself over the image?

Thank you!

Only if the header image is set as a background image. And if that is the case, you will also need to tweak your CSS to move the search box "over" the image.

Thank you, Eric. Time for me to do some investigating.

Do you know a good resource so I can learn how to figure out if it is set up as a background image, and then if it is, how to tweak my search box so it is 'over' the image?
