Default How Do Store Back Ups Really Work?

I was copying and pasting the views from one of my websites to another, and accidentally deleted a module from one of my views, of a live site. AHHHHHHH.

I have tried to recreate it, by looking at the html source code and putting the code back in... just not sure it is right. This will teach me to keep all my complicated module code backed up somewhere!

So what are my options?
I see in the datafeedr tool in wordpress there is a back up option. I know this can revert back to a previous version, but how do I get that previous versions info, back into the Factory?
Does it do that, or does it only apply it to the front end of the website?

Accidentally deleting modules and reseting views is a bit too easy to do in the Factory, with disastrous consequences. Any tips to recover from the mistake?

It only applies to the front end of your site.

PHP Code:
It only applies to the front end of your site
Hmm, so the back up option doesn't really offer too much value then, since everything comes from the Factory. If you mess up, you still need to rebuild the factory.
Any chance of a factory level back up?

I shall add to my check list when converting from V1 to V3: keep text files of all module code!!!!

It's on our list of things to add to the factory but no timeline.
