Default Search Function Problem

I have a problem with the store search function. I keep getting "Nothing Found..." I have tested the WP search capabilities by creating a post and performing a search and the search returned the correct post with my search criteria.

I then edited a description on one product in my store, updated the store, and searched for one of the specific words entered in the description --> "Nothing Found...".

I read an explanation by Eric in another post where he stated there could be a problem with the MySQL database. I don't think that is my issue as I received the right outcome when performing a search related to a test post...

This is puzzling to me and I sure hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks,
Mike

What search for are you using, the Datafeedr search form or the WordPress search form? It sounds like you are trying to search for products from the search form that searches for blog posts.

Did you add a Datafeedr widget search form to your sidebar and try that?

Eric,

I did add the Datafeedr widget search form to the sidebar; tried the simple search and advance search functions. When I could not get it to work, I used the WP search function to search for a Test Post that I wrote just to see if there was a problem accessing the database and it work fine.

I'm wondering if I should delete the WP installation and DB and re-install everything... I was hoping for a easier fix though.

Thanks,
Mike

What's your site's URL?
What were some of the keywords you were searching for?
What version of MySQL are you running?

This appears to be a bug. This only happens when Permalinks are set to OFF (Settings > Permalinks) in your WP admin area.

If Permalinks are enabled, search works properly.

I will update this thread when the Permalink/Search issue has been solved.

This has been fixed in the new version of the plugin (v3.02.2946).
