Default Copy categories between stores

It would be great if you could copy a category from one store to another... this would make the conversion from v. 1 to v. 3 sooooo much easier...

There are quite a few fiddly modifications required for each store, e.g. changing button layouts etc... if you can copy between stores it will be possible to setup one store with all your preferred settings, duplicate the store and copy the old categories across... a major time saver :-)

This seems like 2 requests...

1. copy categories from v1 to v3
2. apply v3 stylings from one V3 store to another V3 store.

Am I right?

Not really... but I like your no. 2 :-) Which would be another solution to the same problem...

I'm talking about the ability to copy a store category from one store to another (i.e. the search subscriptions).

Much of the work in v3 is in setting up the stylings... And if I am able to duplicate a store to make a copy of all the stylings in the store and then copy my search subscriptions from another (old) store to the new store I have effectively set up store no. 2 with all stylings without doing it manually...

Your no. 2 might be a better solution...
