Cool Search bar in webshop

Hi,

I was wondering whether it's possible to add a search bar somewhere else than in my sidebar? Say, next to the pagination line in my shop? See, I don't have a sidebar in my shop right now and I'd prefer not to add one... I'd rather put the search bar in the page itself. I was hoping I could do that somewhere in 'view'?

Website URL: http://babyaccessoires.eu/
URL to page in question: http://babyaccessoires.eu/webshop/ and all underlying categories.

Hi,

The easiest way to do that is to add a new Text module to these views:

The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > STORE FRONT PAGE > Default
The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CATEGORY PAGE > Default

In those Text modules add the following code:

Code:
[DFR:widget/simple-search]
Here's more information on working with Views:

Hi,

Thanks for your answer and sharing the video's, I hadn't seen those before (even though I watched a lot of them). They're really helpful! I was planning on doing something like that on the front page of my website, but I was still thinking about the best way to do it - I guess I found it now!

Is it possible to add any code I like into the text fields? Say, the code for a slide show?

Hi,

Yes, you can add whatever HTML, CSS or PHP code you'd like to a Text widget.
