How to reduce the product's meta-description?
In Factory > MyStore > PRODUCT DETAIL > View menu > View <head> Elements > Page Header dialog >
HTML for the <head> element -------------------------------------- <title>[product.name] | [category.name] | </title> <meta name="description" content="[product.description]" /> -------------------------------------- Is there any way of coding in this dialog to limit the meta-description to approx 160 characters when extracted from the product's description? Currently it repeats every paragraph of on-page content. Google only needs 160 characters for a search result display. Ideally, if these were our own retail products (not affiliated), we'd rewrite every description info a customer-grabbing paragraph for SERP. Nothing helps a customer buy more than a bit of excitement & hurry-up. Less is more here!  |
