Default Formatting datafeed output

Is there anywhere, either within Wordpress, DF, a plugin or even custom scripting that can introduce any level of text formatting into a datafeed?

I understand it's not a DF problem but a new store I've set up has very long descriptions and the text is one solid block of text which looks ugly, has very poor readability and probably doesn't convert anywhere near as well.

Has anyone got a workaround for introducing some kind of or
into these feeds? Example - after 3 full stops add a , after 5 (total) full stops, add a
