Default Store "slipped" off page???

So sorry about all the requests for help....Just when I thought I had it set, my store "slipped" off the page.

I was adjusting page views at the time....

Can you help?

Thank you!

Hi

I'm not sure what you mean... Can you send a link to the page where you are having problems?

Thanks,
Eric

Question "Store" appearing in URL after change was made

I figured out what the problem is, but not the solution -

In Datafeeder, I changed the URL selections to use "spa" instead of "store"

In Wordpress (Thesis) I renamed the "store" page to "spa"

Yet, when I open what is supposed to be the "Spa" (store) page, the URL in the browser reads:

http://acne-treatments-that-work.org/store/

I can't figure out how "store" got into the URL as I renamed it in Datafeedr, WP and in Thesis.

Thank you for your help!

Hi

You are going to need a WP page named "Spa" with a slug named "spa". I've set the slug on your Advanced Store Settings to "spa" (all lowercase).

Once you create the page in WP, click [Update Products and Settings] and you should be good to go.

Hi (Again) Eric -

I've done what you suggested, but it still does not work. Strangely, when I try to open the page that should be "Spa", the URL returns this:

http://Acne-Treatments-That-Work.org/spa-3/

When I take out the "-3" and hit refresh, the "-3" automatically reappears.

Any ideas?

Hi

That's because you already have a page in the Trash named "Spa" with the slug "spa". WP doesn't allow you to have 2 or more pages with the same slug, even though some pages might be in the WP Trash.

Just a thought - could it be that the URL Settings in Datafeedr are blank to go to the site's home page - and that the new page/slug is set to go to "Spa"?

That shouldn't matter... I think it has to do with my last post.

Eric - you are amazing.

I permanently deleted the earlier "spa" pages and that worked. Unfortunately, though, there are still problems with the store -

On the "Home" page, two of everything (below the welcome message) appear and there is a mess on the "Spa" page.

Again, Eric, thank you so much for your ongoing help!
