Temporary Disable Categories
Hoping there is/will be a way to temporarily disable categories without losing any info/products, etc... I understand there is a "hidden" feature which can be used for dripping purposes but would like to more or less see an on/off button for categories

The "hidden" feature is not specifically for dripping products. It could be used to do exactly what you want. Eric

Can you provide some advice if possible? I searched the forums but never came up with anything. I'm reconfiguring my storefront but don't want to permanently delete any categories yet. Disabling categories here and there would be perfect to see how the changes take affect. Thanks |

Then I would suggest setting those categories to "hidden". It will fit your purposes perfectly. Eric

Does this hidden feature pull categories out of WP widgets? Such as the menu widget? |

Yes. It also removes products from appearing in searches if those products reside in hidden categories.
