hi there,

we went through the video for storing images locally, but are the same steps applicable to amazon stores (hopefully ??

for some reason our paths are all still pointing back to amazon.

ok thanks eric - that's sorta a bummer, but it's not your fault

is there anyway to rewrite amazon images on my site at all (like in the beginning of the video)?

is there a best practice for amazon images?

on my site if i right-click a thumb and copy the url it's linking directly to amazon. any ideas?

thanks!

Hi,

If you're storing images locally, then that's not possible.

These are the unfortunate limitations of Amazon.

hey eric,

i realize that i can't store amazon images locally, was just wondering what my options were with regard to re-writing the paths somehow? is there any best practice so that at least when i right-click i'm not seeing the amazon path (like in the beginning of the video)? what settings should i use to achieve that behavior?

thanks!

Hi,

Unfortunately, since you are storing images locally, you can't have only 1 merchant's images rewritten. Either all are rewritten or none.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. Actually, we have removed the ability to rewrite Amazon image URLs because of their strict licensing agreement. We do not want to get any customers in trouble with Amazon by bypassing any of their Usage Requirements.
