Sitemap Review on Webmaster Tools

On June 10th after our last encounter with the sitemaps (that they weren't automatically defaulting to be ticked since the stores were upgraded/converted from old version 1 & 2 in the factory) ... I went and submitted the sitemaps to Google Webmaster Tools.

Here is an image that basically represents every sitemap of each of my datafeedr stores .... several thousand web pages submitted, a couple hundred web pages indexed. On my non-datafeedr stores they are much different, like if 5000 pages submitted, 4800 or some closer number indexed. But, not here with the stores.

EG 6,208 submitted, 288 indexed

Is this a problem I should be worried about? or is something not working here?

The above was the sitemap for the root store http://hartmarket.com/sitemap

I really can't tell for sure. Although the indexing process takes time there's no guarantee Google will index all the URLs submitted in a sitemap.

A page may not appear in the index if Google thinks that a page isn't worth to get indexed (duplicate content, poor content, page not accessible,...).

...Google doesn't guarantee that we'll crawl or index all of your URLs. However, we use the data in your Sitemap to learn about your site's structure, which will allow us to improve our crawler schedule and do a better job crawling your site...

...Although we index billions of webpages... we don't guarantee that we'll crawl all of the pages of a particular site.

Google doesn't crawl all the pages on the web, and we don't index all the pages we crawl. It's perfectly normal for not all the pages on a site to be indexed...
