Frustrated...

Store ID: 37776
Website URL: www.womensdrugstore.com

I'm pretty frustrated at the moment.. having gone through several of the video tutorials step by step and made the changes to my live site... but none of them seem to take effect.

I've done both a Settings Only update and a Products and Setting update after each tutorial and nothing.

The five tutorials I've worked through tonight are:
  • Formatting Category Image Sizes - DOES NOT WORK
  • Adding Category Descriptions, Images and Keywords - DOES NOT WORK
  • Changing Product List Template on Category Pages - DOES NOT WORK
  • Adding Custom CSS - DOES NOT WORK
  • Changing the Color & Text of your Buttons - DOES NOT WORK

Either I really do not have the overall concept down (which I am pretty sure I do) or there is something wrong with either Datafeedr or with the affiliate to whom I am linking (but that would not seem to have any effect on the layout??)

Going to bed for the night.. maybe tomorrow will shed more light on the problems.. and solutions.

Amazing what a good night's sleep will do.

OK, disregard my post from last night.. and let me start again.

Turns out that the changes I was making based on the video tutorials was correct... the problem was that I was looking in the wrong place to see them implemented/executed.

I was mistaking the pages that get created as part of the DRIP for the actual CATEGORY pages.

Turns out they really are two different things.. which I should have realized, but in my bleary eyed state, I was confusing.

Datafeedr wins again..

Note to self: when the eyes start to burn.. quit working on code.. or you'll really mess things up!

I think the next thing I'll do is create for my own use some sort of a reference map as to what are category pages, what are drip pages, what are product pages, what is the store home page etc. etc. etc. [ Eric, any chance such a thing exists?? ]
