slow loading pages
 

Hi there

I have just installed datafeedr and just finding my way around. so far liking it a lot except for the slow page loads. Eric i looked up the forums and activiated the set up button on the directories tab within wordpress>tools>datafeedr> but it hasnt seemed to work

Just wondering if you can give me any more help?

This is personal preference.

Seems it would aid in site speed and SEO.

HiMy personal preference is to store images locally. Some users don't like their hard drive space being filled up with thousands of images. My stores are very small so it's fine if I store my images locally. It takes up very little room and I am in control of how fast the images load on my sites.

Do the stored images get purged when products drop from the store? Or when merchants change it? Should we periodically <every few months> 'reset' the images and redownload from the factory?

So any ideas on the site speed issue?

No, the images don't get purged but you can periodically delete them and then new ones will be added.

The next release of the Datafeedr plugin is focused solely on speed/optimization.

I would check out caching plugins such as W3 Total Cache.

Hi Eric,
is there a way to auto delete the stored files in a special period?
100.000 Pictures and also 100.000 Thumbnails.... are a lot of files.
