All Store Merchants v's Particular Category Merchants

Store ID: http://factory3.datafeedr.com/feeder/shop?shop=33345
website: www.coolgearguy.com
Store page: http://coolgearguy.com/?q=store

For some reason I didn't seem to be experiencing this problem before but now I am.

When I do a search to add products to a Category or Sub Category I only tick the merchants I want to search for that particular category. I then save the search. What I am now finding is that all the other merchant's and their products are removed from the other categories unless I return the store to displaying all merchants after I have done my category search.

Problem is when I do this all the other merchants show up in my Category saved searches that I originally did for particular merchants?

I haven't updated my new searches and categories to Word Press because it will put what is currently displayed out of whack. I am wondering what the best way to do this properly is?

Thanks,

I'm guessing that you were checking and unchecking merchants on the Store Merchants page... This would be incorrect.

To specify merchants on a category basis, here's what you should do:

1. Go here: The Factory > Your Store > Store menu > Store Merchants
2. Check all merchants and click save
3. Go to the category which you want to only search from a few merchants
4. Click the add products to this category link
5. In the search form, add a new filter and choose merchants from the drop down list. Then only check the merchants you want to search in your search form.

That should do it.
