trailing slash on category page

Hi,

I want a trailing slash on call my category pages.

I current use this for my category page

/%cs/

so this could be www.domain.com/shoes/ where shoes is the category

The issue I have is there is no trailing slash /

Current: www.domain.com/shoes
Want: www.domain.com/shoes/

Both resolve a 200 which would result in a duplicate content filter.

Can you advise?

Great work on version 3 - installed today and love it!

This seems to be a bug.

estuary February 21st, 2011 04:44 PM

Does that mean it will be fixed or is there a work around?

Thanks

Eric February 21st, 2011 04:56 PM

Hi

It has been submitted to our list of bugs to be fixed. It's basically a conflict between the Permalink settings and the URL Settings. If your Permalink Settings had a trailing slash (instead of .html), then it would work but that's hardly a workaround.

I will update this thread when this issue has been fixed.

Suits me - will change - thanks.

Glad I found a bug :)

Me too!

Just to let you know that I tried the work around and that did not work.

I tried:

Wordpress settings:

/%category%/%postname%

and

/%category%/%postname%/

neither worked as one applied a trailing slash to a product and not to category and vice versa.

Thanks

That's strange... It works for me. Do you have any other plugin that might be modifying your URLs like All in One SEO or something like that?

estuary February 22nd, 2011 04:34 PM

nope no other plugins....

Is Datafeedr treating datafeedr products as pages and not posts?

Neither.

I've filed this as a bug. I will update this thread once the bug is fixed.

This has been fixed in Version 3.1 and is now available.

Hi,

I am running version 3.1.5.3214

Still having issue with trailing slashes on category... both

/category/ and /category resolve a 200

Category slug is: /%cs/
Product slug is: /%cs/%ps-%pi.html

Thanks
Carl

Hi Carl,

Sorry about that. I'm not sure why I posted that this was fixed in 3.1 because it was scheduled for (and has been fixed in) version 3.2. We have not released 3.2 yet but it should be soon.

Eric
