Response Time

1) Does it take longer for a store website to respond to a query if the number of products are large? The front home page seems to take a long time to respond.

2) In general, should we be cautious of updating the WP or the theme as it may break the site.

1. No but here's one thing I would do.
  • Go here: The Factory > Your Store > Store menu > URL Settings
  • Change the Product image field to %li
  • Change the Product thumbnail field to %lt
  • Save your changes
  • Update your store by clicking the [Update Products and Settings] button.

2. In regards to Datafeedr, no. You should always keep WP and all of your plugins and themes up to date. Datafeedr will work fine with them. If there's a problem, most likely it's not related to Datafeedr.
