Default Link to product

Hi, I've added a new button to my product page that links to my wishlist, would anyone know how I would go about calling the product in the link, I can do this by product id but would have to add products individually.

Any help would be very much appreciated
Regards,
Pauline.

Hi

Welcome to the forums!

I'm a little confused as to what you want to do... Can you clarify?

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric, thank you for the welcome,

I've added a new link in the product details page, it links to my wishlist as long as I add the product id

<div class="SimpleButton" cellspacing="0">
<td><span style="font-size: small;"><strong><a class="simple-button simple-arrow-button" <a href="cart.php?mode=add2wl&productid="?"&amount=1" > Add To Wishlist</a></strong></span></td>
</div>
I'm not sure if this is correct as I'm no programmer, I just know it works with product id but I'm not sure how to get it to work with all products,

Regards,
Pauline.

Hi

This should work for you:
HTML Code:
<a href="cart.php?mode=add2wl&productid=[product.id]&amount=1"> Add To Wishlist</a>

Hi Eric, thank you for the quick response I tried this option but get a 404 page not found.

The way I added to the wishlist in the past was to create individual posts for each affiliate product and then add the script with product id.

It would be great if I could get this working as I would like to offer a wishlist for wedding gifts.

Thanks,
pauline.

Hi

Can you provide a URL to a page on your site where this link exists?

Hi,

http://grandevents.co.uk/blog/?q=sto...0600000177624/

The product id seems to be completely different compared with when I added pages individually:
<a href="cart.php?mode=add2wl&productid=17681&amount= 1"> Add-2-WL</a>

Regards,
Pauline.

Hi

That's the correct Product ID. The product IDs are going to be much larger numbers than your post or page IDs.

When I click that link I'm redirected to login.php.

Hi,

Yes it seems that if you are logged in it takes you to a 404 error but if not logged in then it takes you to login page and then 404 error.

Thanks,
Pauline.

Hi

The cart.php page is not a Datafeedr page or script. That's related to the shopping cart software you are already running on your website. We really can't support your shopping cart software.

Hi Eric, no problem, thought I'd try embedding the product into a post but this is not functioning either:

this is the link I'm getting,

Hi

Can you try clicking the [Update Products and Settings] button on your site.

Also, if you have any caching plugins installed and activated, be sure to clear your cache before browsing the page.

Hi Eric, that worked thank you very much.

I had to clear my shopping cart cache, I'm using x cart along with a wordpress mod.

I really like datafeedr it makes life so much easier but I would really like an option to add to wishlist. I can add the product to the x cart wishlist if its from a static page or if I import the data using the CJ plugin and add from a post in wordpress. I can't understand why it won't add from a datafeedr post or page. The product id definitely changes through datafeedr, here's a link to one of the products I've added through a static page http://www.site.com/product.cfm?product=1015&aff=24 and here's a product id from datafeedr 3480600000177624

Could you please recommend an alternative to my cart wishlist if there's nothing I can do with current wishlist,

Regards,
Pauline.

Hi

Glad it's working.

Feel free to suggest a wishlist in our feature request forum. In fact, there is already a thread started for that: http://www.datafeedr.com/forums/show...light=wishlist

I don't have any recommendations for a wishlist at this time.
