Default Defining "Store" Page

Hi,

I'm currently working offline, but just about to go live.

I'm trying to refine what products show up on my "Store" page. I'm assuming that datafeedr just grabs random products from the different categories I've created? Is there any way that I can completely dictate what shows up when visitors arrive at the generic "Store" page?

Thanks!

Tom

Tom .. the categories you create dictate the products it will search for your store - but, it's the VIEWS section in the factory that you can dictate how it will look on your site, and what appears on the category views, store front views, product/single page views, etc.

Just out of curiousity - how do you work offline?

You can change the order of the products that are displayed on your Store's front page here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > STORE FRONT PAGE > Default > Product list module > Settings ( ) > Sort by.

If you want more control, you can create a "hidden" category and add only the products that you want to have appear on the front page to that category. Then you go here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > STORE FRONT PAGE > Default > Product list module > Settings ( ) and check the "Use custom query" box and in the "Custom query string" field put c=123456 where 123456 is the category ID of the "hidden" category you just created.
