Default Error creating directory

Store ID:46560
Website URL: http://www.bodybuildingandfitnesslab.com
URL to page in question:
Hi,

I have installed and activated the datafeedr plug-in and the connection key to my site, but can't get the products and shop from the factory to install on the site.
This is the error:

core/db:28 init_db: mysqli(wpdb)=0
ERROR:mkdir(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid/gid is 8120/8120 is not allowed to access /tmp owned by uid/gid 0/0() line=536
ERROR:err_dir_cannot_create(/tmp)
ERROR:err_dir_cannot_create()

I have emailed my host to have safe mode removed. Will this fix the issue? Is there another way around this if the host won't remove safe mode?

Thanks

Hi

Welcome to the forums!

Yes, disabling safe mode should fix the issue.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your reply. My host will not remove the safe mode. Will I need to change hosts, or is there another option.
Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Hi

I would highly recommend changing hosts. Safe Mode has now been deprecated in newer versions of PHP.

Quote:
The PHP safe mode is an attempt to solve the shared-server security problem. It is architecturally incorrect to try to solve this problem at the PHP level, but since the alternatives at the web server and OS levels aren't very realistic, many people, especially ISP's, use safe mode for now.

Warning: This feature has been DEPRECATED as of PHP 5.3.0 and REMOVED as of PHP 5.4.0.
