![]() Hi Eric & Stefan,
There are currently two direct options from within datafeedr regarding images - either access them from the affiliate website or 'download' them and then fetch them locally. I was wondering if it'd be possible to add in an option to trim the whitespace at the same time as you download the image? I found this solution to do so in PHP: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...m-image-in-php It'd be great if you could add it into the code as it'd make all of our sites look much better having large images that fill their containers. Kind Regards, Dave Hilditch |

![]() Hi
You can implement that code. It's a little beyond the scope of support provided but if you have the images already stored locally, it should work. Eric

![]() I was thinking the best place to put the code would be in the datafeedr code - maybe i have the wrong end of the stick:
I think Datafeedr does this with images: 1) Downloads the image to the uploads folder 2) Sets the local file name in the database 3) In future, if the image is retrieved and it exists locally it gets it locally else it starts at 1 I was thinking it would be easy to put it in at point 1 - i.e. when datafeedr downloads the image from the affiliate CDNs then it could also optionally call this php function to trim the whitespace. It would be fantastic, certainly for us, and I believe for a whole lot of customers to make images far better. |

![]() I've written a plugin that fixes images, crops whitespace and zooms the image so all images from all affiliate sources are the same size.
