Default Firefox vs Explorer

Hi guys
Not a huge deal but my site looks fine on Fiirefox but the first item is always missing when I use Explorer.

What do you mean with "first item"?

Default IE

I am not sure what version I have but the first product (upper left) has a blank wide/short rectangle border with nothing in it. Everything after that looks fine

Yes, I see what you describe in my IE9.

What if you switch to another theme? Do you get the same behaviour?
