You can do the same thing as the instructions state except instead of creating a new Custom View, you create a new Widget View.

Most merchants don't supply any images for coupons.

oups I spoke too soon,Small problem. Coupons is now a category ,so now they show up in main page and search results and then if you click on a coupon ,you go to the listing page that says Buy.just weird

Maybe I did somthing wrong coupons show up other places than the listing page.

Hi George,

I don't see any coupons in your categories or search results. Can you please provide a link to the coupons you see on your site in your category pages as well as in your search results?

Thanks,
Eric

To make the links go to the merchant's site instead of your product page, change
HTML Code:
<a href="[product.link]"><strong>[product.name]</strong></a>
To:
HTML Code:
<a href="[product.url]"><strong>[product.name]</strong></a>

Default Display of coupons from all my selected merchants?

The easiest way is to add your coupons to 1 category. There are other ways you could do this but I'll just cover the simplest method here.
  1. Create a new category and name it "Coupons".
  2. Add your coupons to that category.
  3. Create a new Custom View by going to VIEWS > CUSTOM VIEWS > Add a new view
  4. Name the view "coupons_from_single_merchant".
  5. Check the "Don't use layout for this view" checkbox. Your view's properties should look like this:
  6. Add a Product List module to the view and configure the Product List module like this:

    or using the following HTML code:
    HTML Code:
    <h2>Coupons</h2>

    [product.each]
      <p>
        <a href="[product.link]"><strong>[product.name]</strong></a>
        from <span style="color:#999;font-size:85%;font-style:italic;">[product.merchant]</span><br />
        [coupon.description]<br />
        <small>
          <strong>Code:</strong> [coupon.code]<br />
          <strong>Restrictions:</strong> [coupon.restrictions]<br />
          <strong>Begin Date:</strong> [coupon.begin]<br />
          <strong>End Date:</strong> [coupon.end]<br />
        </small>
      </p>
    [product.end]
  7. You can also limit the number of coupons to be displayed by modifying the modules settings. I'm limiting it to 3.
  8. Go to the VIEWS > PRODUCT DETAIL > Default view.
  9. Add a new Text module to your view.
  10. Paste the following text into the Text module's template area:
    Code:
    [DFR:coupons_from_single_merchant?c=coupons&amp;merchant=<?php echo $product->merchant; ?>]
    That basically says, "get the coupon template and display coupons from the category "Coupons" and only from the same merchant as this product".
  11. Save the module.
  12. Log into your blog's admin area and go to WordPress Admin Area > Tools > Datafeedr and click the [Update Products and Settings] button.
  13. Now navigate to a product which you know also has a coupon from the same merchant. Here's how my display looks when viewing a product from 123Refills.:

Enjoy,

Eric
Humongousmall.com

Since I have many merchants in several stores, how do I display all the coupons on my Homepage HumongousMall.com from all the merchants and arranged by categories and Merchants? Then a visitor can copy and paste the code on the selected product.

Hi

It's not possible to list all coupons arranged by categories and merchants.

If you want a list of coupons on your homepage, do this:

1. Create a category named "Coupons".

2. Set the category type to "hidden".

3. Add all of the coupons you want to display to that "Coupons" category.

4. Go here: The Factory > Your Store > CATEGORIES > Coupons and get the category ID (example).

5. Go here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > STORE FRONT PAGE > Default > Product list module > Settings ()

6. Check the "Use custom query" option.

7. In the "Custom query string" field, put in: c=123456789. Change 123456789 to YOUR Coupons category ID.

8. Save your settings.

9. Go here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > STORE FRONT PAGE > Default > Product list module > Theme settings ()

10. Replace everything between [product.each] and [product.end] with this code:

HTML Code:
  <p>
    <a href="[product.link]"><strong>[product.name]</strong></a>
    from <span style="color:#999;font-size:85%;font-style:italic;">[product.merchant]</span><br />
    [coupon.description]<br />
    <small>
      <strong>Code:</strong> [coupon.code]<br />
      <strong>Restrictions:</strong> [coupon.restrictions]<br />
      <strong>Begin Date:</strong> [coupon.begin]<br />
      <strong>End Date:</strong> [coupon.end]<br />
    </small>
  </p>
11. Save your changes.

12. Go here: WordPress Admin Area > Tools > Datafeedr

13. Click the [Update Products and Settings] button.

Now your store's front page should only display a list of coupons.

Eric

I added 298 coupons to the coupons category in coupons.humongousmall.com.
However only a few coupons are displayed on the front page of coupons.humogousmall.com and in the sidebars, the "Coupons" category is not display
