Instead of just dripping via blog posts, why not drop out to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.

That to me, is considerably more powerful as it broadcasts to multiple destinations AND you don't have the duplicate content issue that a blog post introduces.

If you have datafeedr set up on your wordpress blog then there are plugins available which allow posts to show on your facebook twitter page as soon as you post via wordpress so technically this is already possible it just takes a third party plugin to make it happen.
