Default What Is a Drip Feed?

Hi,

I am in the dark about drip feeding. I see how it would work if you had a blog, but how does it work when you have an e-commerce site like mine?

I thought it would create duplicate content, but can you explain the idea behind drip feeds?

Thank you!

Hi

A drip is when you post products from your store as blog posts on your blog automatically. Yes, you may run into duplicate content.

Hi Mate,

I'm going to use drip feeds on my home page along with other content. this page is still in dev http://rideonsurfshop.co.uk/ and needs adjusting.

I feel having 4 or 5 products which are refreshed every 2-3 days along with other content isnít bad. I know the products maybe duplicate, but i doubt Google would see this as a no no, itís only 4 products! If you had your whole store dripped then yes Google would spank your botty. However, these drip products have a separate URL so i think its ok.

Here's how i have embedded the datafeedr page into my shopping cart website. http://www.freakfish.co.uk/product_i...roducts_id=666

Just need to finnish off some stuff then i'm going to add the datafeedr site to a subfolder on the freakfish.co.uk domain and the website will be massive with loads of fresh content. Google will love it! Cant wait to get it all live.
