Default Changed packet size and store page went blank

I'm currently building my first Datafeedr site. I uploaded my WP theme yesterday, but the store page, even though it did appear, complete with the header and sidebar, would not load any product. It stayed empty even though the sidebar widget worked and was loading images from my datafeedr shop. I attempted to do some troubleshooting on my own, and after reading some posts, changed my packet sizes to 500. This caused the whole page to go blank. Please help.

I have already PMed you my store info.

Welcome to the forums! Thanks for preemptively sending me your log in credentials.

OK, there were a few problems:

1. Your "Store" page was using the "Gallery" template. I changed that to use the "Default Template". I'm not sure if that changed anything but it probably doesn't hurt.

2. Your packet sizes were both set to '0'. I changed those back to '500' and saved. This seemed to work fine.

3. You had checked "Disable WP theme usage" here: The Factory > Your Store > Store menu > Advanced Store Settings. This caused whatever was supposed to appear in your store to appear without the theme stylings.

4. But the biggest problem was a certain conditional statement in your theme's loop-page.php template file. In that file you can find the following code:
PHP Code:
            <?php if ( ! empty( $post->post_content ) ) : ?>
            <div id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?><?php post_class('group'); ?>><?php
Basically this says if the page has no content, do not display anything. Since your "Store" page does not contain any content (which it shouldn't), it was not running the the_content() function. This resulted in none of your store content getting loaded.

To solve this, I simply added the following "content" to your "Store" page:

This tricks the theme into "thinking" that there is content even though only displays a single space.

After all of those changes, your store is now getting displayed properly.

I did have to reset your store's front page view because it appeared that that may have been causing problems.

Thanks so much for your help. I guess I had a lot more issues than I realized.

I tried several packet sizes in an effort to get the page to work, but I must have given up at '0'.
I'm looking forward to building up my store now that I know this theme will work for me.

Thanks again.
