Default Image URL of dripped products

Hi Eric
If i look in a dripped product custom fields the image URL points to the merchants website. Is there a way to have my local server productimage URL to be imported in to a custom field automatically during the dripping process?

The reason for this is to be able to use the themes own image resizing functions... And for better SEO for dripped products

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, if you store your images locally. First, you need to store them locally. Here's how to do that: http://www.datafeedr.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5770

Then in your PHP code you can get the locally hosted image URL with this PHP:

PHP Code:
$product dfr('products')->get($custom['store_id'][0]);
$images dfr('app')->url('image'$product);
That code is somewhat based on the code we discussed here:

Sorry, but i'm not quite sure where to put this code...
I will send you a PM with the log in credentials to my site and FTP, so if you could find the time i'd really appreciate some assistance with my image issue.

Many thanks!

Hi,

In reference to this code, you would put the code above like this:

PHP Code:
    $thumb $thumbnail["thumb"];

$custom get_post_custom($post->ID);

    if (@empty(
$thumb) || @$thumb == '') {

$product dfr('products')->get($custom['store_id'][0]);

$thumb dfr('app')->url('image'$product);
    }
Eric
