![]() Hi,
You can do that here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CATEGORY PAGE > Default > Category list module > Theme settings ( ![]() Just modify this code: HTML Code:
[category.list id='dfcatcol1' before='<div class="cl">' after='</div>'] <div class="cell col3"> <div class="bdr"> <a href="[category.link]" title="[category.name]"> <img src="[category.thumbnail]" alt="[category.name]" /><br />[category.name] </a> </div> </div> [/category.list]

![]() Hi
You can add all of the HTML tags and SEO modifications you need to make here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CATEGORY PAGE > Default. Open the modules' theme settings ( ![]() Please keep in mind that you will need to add the corresponding CSS so as not to break the layout of your page. Eric

![]() I'm so lost, how do i edit the code for each category on the website using this?
This is the code i see [category.list id='dfcatcol1' before='<div class="cl">' after='</div>'] <div class="cell col3"> <div class="bdr"> <a href="[category.link]" title="[category.name]"> <img src="[category.thumbnail]" alt="[category.name]" /><br />[category.name] </a> </div> </div> [/category.list] So how does changing this relate to changing each individual category? Boys Clothing Girls Clothing Mens Clothing Womens Clothing Bodyboard Kayak Rash Vests & Thermals Skateboard Surf Products Swim & Snorkeling Impact Vest Wetsuits & Accessories Drysuits & Spray Tops Normally with a CMS i would go to the back end, navigate to the category i want to change and with a HTML editor which i can, add images, upload text, add H1 tags and other HTML. Also i would have a function to edit the meta tags. This would then show on the front end of the website. I dont know CSS so i cant deal with this. It seems i cant do on page SEO and write content easily for each category page? Unless I'm seriously missing something, i just cant see how i achieve what i need to do, which is pretty simple. Thanks for your help i hope we can resolve this issue because i need to get this done because I'm adding another 3 sites to my datafeedr subscription. |

![]() Hi,
By default, all of your category pages are controlled by 1 view (ie. template). That's this one: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CATEGORY PAGE > Default Whatever changes you make to that view will be reflected in all of your categories. We use placeholders for product and category information. So instead of displaying the product name like this "iPod Touch" we use tags or placeholders such as this: [product.name]. When the page gets rendered, then [product.name] gets replaced with "iPod Touch". If you want to add category images, descriptions and keyword stuff, you can do all of that here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CATEGORY PAGE > Default > View menu > View Properties. Here's more information about that: http://www.datafeedr.com/videos?vide...rc=yt#videotop http://www.datafeedr.com/videos?vide...-menu#videotop http://www.datafeedr.com/videos?vide...rc=yt#videotop What you want to do is possible. Watch the videos above and I think you will understand it. If you still have questions, please ask. Eric
