Exclude duplicates

I have read this thread http://www.datafeedr.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3934 and it seems your exclude duplicates filter is not working properly, because most of my items meet even the 3 rules, but are still been returned in the search.

For example a product with same name, same price but 4 different colours, returns all the 4 same products, the same problem apply to product with 4 sizes.

It is easy for someone with 100 products to manually remove the other sizes or colour, but this is not feasible for a store with thousand of products.

Please let me know the best way to go around this problem

Then it's not really a duplicate product (at least how we define a duplicate).

The only way to solve this issue (and sometimes it's not possible) is to add a color to your search so that only one product (ie. the product with that color) is returned. This might work but it depends on how many products are in the category and if all of them have that color or not.

In a way it is a duplicate because a product can have different sizes and color but is the same product, will it be possible to probably a sort of UNIQUE query that looks at this?

Yeah, I realize there are a lot of products like this... but we haven't figured out a way to only return 1 product in these circumstances.
