How to change category page title?
Store ID: 34150
Website URL: ttp://www.boutiqueshop.co URL to page in question: http://www.boutiqueshop.co/shop/category/mens-shoes/ Hi, The current category page title is taking from the category name in the category list. How can I customize the page title for a category page? For example: The page title for this page: http://www.boutiqueshop.co/shop/category/mens-shoes/ is "Designer Shoes|Boutiqueshop.co" I would like to change to "Mens Designer Shoes|Boutiqueshop.co" for a better SEO. How can I do that? Thanks in advance! |

Hi,
If you want the category title to be different than the category's name, you'll need to use one of the Category Properties fields to store your category title. For example, if you go here: The Factory > Your Store > CATEGORIES > Men > Designer Shoes > Category menu > Category Properties, you could add your custom category title to either the Description or Keyword field. Then go here: The Factory > Your Store > VIEWS > CATEGORY PAGE > Default > View menu > View <head> Elements and change HTML Code:
<title>[category.name] | </title> HTML Code:
<title>[category.description] | </title> HTML Code:
<title>[category. keywords] | </title>

That's great to know. I just noticed the "View <head> Elements".
Is there any way that I can combine the last two categoriy names and use that as the page title? e.g. can I use "Men|Designer Shoes|Boutiqueshop.co" as the page title? How can I extract the string from the last two categories? Thanks Eric! |
