Adding Search to main page

I want to add the simple search facility to the middle of the main page, how do I do this?

Just use the shortcode in your views to display the Simple search widget in a Text module, wherever you want.

Thanks Eric, I know going off topic a bit here, say I add a category "michael jackson" How do I know, or how do I change what the title, description will be that google shows for it on its listings?
