Default making price filtering work

Hi Eric,
I have a price filter set up on samsung-tvs.co.uk (right hand side) but it doesn't work.

Im guessing it doesn't click through to /store.

Is this the reason? How do I make it work?

Although ive tried to make everything "front end" wordpress, this way it stays unique in content, I intend on blocking the /store from the search engines, but still want it usable for the user for instances such as price filtering etc

Thanks

Dave

Hi,

It does work on your Store pages: http://samsung-tvs.co.uk/store?price=750-1000

Filters are used to filter the contents that are on the page. Your homepage (samsung-tvs.co.uk) has no product content therefore there is nothing to filter.

If you want your homepage price filters to link to your store's front page, you should change your price filter links from this:

HTML Code:
<li><a href="[server.url type='fullpage' query='price=-250']">Less than 250</a></li>
To this:

HTML Code:
<li><a href="[server.url type='store' query='price=-250']">Less than 250</a></li>

That's because your theme is using the the_content() in their slider. Not good. Please post the file responsible for displaying the slider and I will provide a fix.

Hi Eric,
ok thanks mate. Ill have to look into that and get back to you if needed.

in the meantime how do I block the store page from search engines?

and by blocking the /store it will block everything from datafeedr right? apart from shortcode?

Hi,

Do you mean block or keep the search engines from indexing/following store pages/links?

Its for seo purposes, I dont want google knowing about these pages, as itll go against me for ranking.

What do you suggest? I have more than one option here do i?
